Bents Park date (weekend entertainment)
Looking out of my window right now watching the snow falling here in South Shields it’s difficult to imagine that we have already past the point when the northern hemisphere is supposedly into it’s summer state now. However, minds of officials at South Tyneside Council have been making plans for our free festival of entertainment and have announced that the 1983 winner of the Rear of the Year Award, Lulu, will play at the Bents Park, South Shields, in a free Sunday afternoon concert - what a bummer eh? (Probably the best looking 60 year old we’ll see in town this year - what a way to Relight my Fire.)
So let’s call this post the weekend entertainment, although I doubt she’ll be bringing the boys from Take That to act the part of The Luvvers (unless somebody is keeping a major secret!).
So here’s a video of Take That, Beverley Knight, and Lulu performing live in Manchester in 2006, it’s quite a circus!. Any chance of a show like this in the Bents Park?
