It was only on 13th. March that I made this post highlighting the concerns about the “consultation process” being operated by South Tyneside Homes, the ALMO responsible for looking after council house tenants here.

It was pointed out by myself, and those commenting, that if you are looking for an open dialogue that produces results, then you have to go out amongst the community that you are working in, you need to operate in an environment that people feel comfortable with if you wish them to exchange ideas.

South Tyneside Homes just don’t get the message!

They still want people to come to the “Lions Den” at Strathmore House in Jarrow (click the thumbnail to enlarge).

  2. Same old, same old.
You can’t teach an old dog new tricks ehh !
But wait a minute they are not old are they, The A.L.M.O which is South Tyneside Homes is just 3 years old, so training them in new ways ( talking to and listening to tenants ) should be a doddle, unless, its old masters that are the real culprits. Hmmm

  3. Hi everyone. The next meeting will be held on ‘Larson B’ ice shelf, which will determine the future of South Tyneside Homes as an ALMO. Make sure that you can attend as it is in your best interests to do so. If you can’t make this session, then you can go to our mop-up session which will be held at Bass Rock (just off East Lothian). So there. You can’t say that we are not flexible in working with the tenants of this borough!!
