I imagine that most people reading it as a comment in response to your article would, as I did, treat it with the disinterest that it warranted. As I see it you had two clear choices, either to delete the 'offending' comment or just leave it and trust your readers to see the comment for what it obviously is. Through following various threads I came upon your blog about being pulled by the police for taking photos at the fair. I find it interesting the indignation that you expressed over being 'reported' then tracked and subsequently questioned. I say this because I have noticed a couple of instances where you have raised the question of peoples identities relating to their IP addresses. You are performing a surveillance and investigation process on your commenting visitors. Admittedly on a different level but I find this hypocritical all the same! Anyway, if you have strong opinions and a need to express them publicly then you are bound to attract unwelcome and sometimes unfounded and inappropriate responses. Your '24 hours to humiliate himself' ultimatum to Big Al is just not going to happen is it? I'd be inclined to forget the Big Al comments and concentrate on taking photos and blogging about the significant issues around us. Stick to what you are good at and also have some faith in your readers judgment. Now if you don't mind I'm going to duck until the teddies stop flying!
