Times Online reticence

with one comment

Image removed, but little other comment or contact

The Comment Central blog at The Times Online appears to be showing a little reticence to contact me, after removing my image (which they had used without prior written permission) from this post. I had emailed tham asserting my rights as the copyright holder and requesting payment of the fee agreed with News International via it’s pictures editor at The Sun, but so far no reply to my email.

The picture has been removed without so much as an acknowledgement, apology, or explanation. Surely the courtesy of a reply is not too much to ask of journalists these days?

Remind me to tread warily when transacting business with News International in future.

Update

I have received a full and contrite apology from the Times, matter now closed.

  1. Well done Curly!

It’s just unfortunate that you had to go to all that bother just to receive the common courtesy of an apology.
