Cameron’s offer of help
Iain Dale prophetic?
Was Iain Dale being prophetic at 08:24 this morning, or had he had a tip off about David Cameron’s agenda for today?
Either way, whilst I admire David Cameron’s gesture (to help Gordon get out of the shit), I hope he doesn’t end up signing a blank cheque.

I think David Cameron’s timing was perfect, but above all, he included in his speach, something that I believe will become even more pertinent in the coming days and weeks. That is, that the city executives and bankers, will have their day of reckoning. Given many, once substantial and proud organisations, have been brought to their corporate knees on their watch. I believe there should be an exhaustive investigation and where these executives have either failed in their fidiciary responsibilities or their duty of care, they should have their assets siezed. This must not be seen as an act of vengance, but must instead, be viewed as one of the other risks that executives must accept if they are seen to have acted recklessly.
