Hebburn (Tescoville)
A vision of the future
Architecturally, if these pictures are a good impression, then it’s a bad impression.
Functional and no more. Little better than the 1960’s East European bloc “blocky” look that it “enjoys” now.
In a nutshell, given the opportunity that they have to create a new townscape, it’s very disappointing.
I think South Tyneside deserves something a little more imaginative than this, I think that Tesco can afford to make it’s shops and their environs look a little more human and inviting, and if we are looking for change, well let’s change!

Very unimaginative design, but full marks for dreaming up a tree in Hebburn…
