House of Lords expenses
Ever wondered how Lord Don Dixon manages?
If the expenses rows in the House of Commons raise your eyebrows, then go to Letters from a Tory and set your teeth curling as he sets out what sort of expenses the former South Tyneside councillor Baron Dixon of Jarrow could be getting (if he decided to go for it all).

Why bring Don Sixon into it? Other than him being a Labour peer and a local man . You have not produced any evidence of overclaiming or inappropriate claims by him so what’s the problem.
My problem with the house of Lords is that they are unelected but I wouldn’t choose anyone in particular to highlight that

There really is no need to get quite so defensive Dee, I am merely illustrating that the House of Lords is not quite as remote as many people in South Tyneside think. I am trying to show that we do have close ties to the institution and that it still has local relevance. I made no reference at all to any expenses Lord Dixon may or may not have claimed but wished to illustrate the potential which Letters from a Tory uncovered when compared to the lower House.
