Stevie Ray Vaughan (SRV)

Stevie Ray Vaughan is another of those great blues guitarists who who would have gone on to earn an absolute place in history, had he not been tragically killed in a helicopter crash at the age of 36 in 1990. SRV was born in Dallas, Texas and was promoted early in his career by David Bowie, by the time he was in his thirties he was already being compared to Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, with whom he developed a close friendship.

In this video we find SRV playing the Rockpalast in Loreley in 1984, covering Hendrix’ “Little Wing”, once the video has downloaded let it play again, and close your eyes! (Can you here SRV or Hendrix?)
