Hepburn calls for Thatcher’s removal

with 5 comments

Stephen HepburnJarrow MP behind the times again.

Conservative Home reports that Jarrow MP Stephen Hepburn wants the removal of Mrs. Thatcher’s statue from the Member’s Lobby, once again reflecting a distinct attachment to a “time warp” in the past.

Perhaps he is more upset at seeing a reminder of political change that was real, radical, necessary, and built the foundations upon which the NuLabour machine was built. No doubt he too, like Tony Blair, stayed away from the unveiling of the statue to the one who put the “great” back into Britain!

It must be terrible having her looking down on him every time he passes by!

  1. Really Curly, does our MP have nothing better to focus his attentions upon other than putting down frivilous Early Day Motions!?

  2. I suggest he sticks to what he’s good at – playing football and blagging tickets for World Cup games!

  3. So so funny to hear SH on BBC radio Newcastle today defending his decision to table the EDM. The presenter asked if he would support a statue for Tony Blair and Hepburn totally dodged the question.”Erm, I’m not here to talk about er er erm…” So, Stephen, give your constituents an answer! We’re all ears!
