Parade held up

with 2 comments

Cllr. Paul Waggott, Cllr. Linda Waggott, South TynesideWho slept in then?

So, who couldn’t get out of bed on time, and needed the Mayor’s official car to rush them to the community centre at Whitburn, South Tyneside, arriving eight minutes after the parade should have started?

Who just threw on the nearest set of clothes and forgot to find a tie? Who was sartorially diselegant as they made their way to church?

It’s a good job the vicar is used to waiting on late brides on a Saturday then, eh?

It’s a good job Curly closed the road off too, (Council workers put a sign up on East Street, Whitburn, but forgot to put the road cones in place, so motorists read the sign “road closed” and then just drove around it towards the parade – so selfless.)

  1. I warned Lord Paul of Waggsville and Lady Linda of Waggott not to give the butler and hairdresser Sunday off, but they wouldn’t listen. Basically, without them they can’t dress themselves!
