Nadine Dorries MP is wrong!

with 2 comments

nadine dorriesBlog now worse than Miliband’s

Conservative MP Nadine Dorries has been blogging for a while, and at times it’s been a pleasure to visit and participate, her posts are invariably light-hearted, chatty, revolving around her life in Parliament, her constituency, and home. You could have a chat, and begin to understand the differences between a man in Parliament and a woman with a family trying to juggle her responsibilities to the House of Commons and the house at home!

On November 1st. Nadine turned off the comments on her blog, because she is short of time to administer them, or doesn’t want to burden someone else with the job, what a massive shame Nadine. A blog without comment facility becomes no more than the average website, it becomes a monologue, a speech, it is no longer a conversation. She has lost a vital interactive tool that should keep her in touch with real people’s views. David Miliband’s blog at the Foreign Office may never be the most exciting read on the internet, but at least he attempts to establish a rapport with his readers, his much maligned (and frankly boring) blog now has more meaning than that of Nadine Dorries’. I’m sure she didn’t intend things to turn out this way.

Sorry Nadine, turning off the comments is the wrong thing to do, for whatever” good” reason, and by failing to carry on engaing in the conversation you lay yourself open to all sorts of charges from your political opponents, please consider reinstating the comments.

  1. I agree, the comments is the blood that runs through the veins of a blog, especially as she likes to be controversial. It’s one-way information, we get enough of that in press releases
