Great firewall of China at work again
Possibly hundreds dead in Tibet
China has seen to it that any footage available about the precarious situation in Tibet on YouTube will not be seen within it’s borders, any internet search containing the word “Tibet” will come back unanswered, the Great Firewall has swung into action again.
Of course, “it wasn’t us” cries the Communist leadership in China, it was the rioters who killed 13 “innocent civilians”, yet according to the Tibetan government-in-exile and aides to Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, the Chinese crackdown in Tibet left about 100 Tibetans dead, though it could be “hundreds.”
South Shields MP and Foreign Secretary David Miliband wrings his hands and calls for dialogue and responsibility, yet presumably backs Gordon Brown’s bid to ban the Zimbabwean cricket team from touring in the UK. China only gets a cursory mention in Miliband’s blog on the 28th. February about his nice little trip over there, he obviously has access to a pc because he posted yesterday. What’s the matter, has the cat cut his tongue?
Damn and blast the UK government where Olympics, money, and contracts are concerned!
