South Tyneside style

South Tyneside Council’s Labour group will shortly be sitting to discuss the allocation of seats for Cabinet and the post of Deputy Mayor for 2009 – 10

I understand from sources close to those involved that there are two places up for grabs in Labour’s local Cabinet and that the runners and riders are lining up as follows:

  • Cllr. Barry Scorer – 6/4
  • Cllr. Jim Perry – 11/4
  • Cllr. Emma Lewell – 2/1
  • Cllr. Allison Strike – 4/1
  • Cllr. Ann Walsh – 6/1
  • Cllr. Joan Meeks – 10/1
  • 20/1 Bar

As far as the Deputy Mayor is concerned

  • Cllr. Jimmy Foreman – 9/4
  • Cllr. Jim Sewell – 11/4
  • 6/1 Bar

Curly is not a betting man, but he has been informed that the market has moved considerably in the last couple of days and that some outsiders for Cabinet have attracted big interest (06/05/09)

Price on Cllr. Tom Piggot has shortened considerably, worth a punt! (07/05/09)
