Cllr. Potts’ “personal friend” Mercedes Ashley didn’t seem very aware of who he is!
I was intrigued and curious, after all how many of our South Tyneside councillors count porn stars amongst their “personal friends?

Curly, if I were David Potts I’d be embarrassed to admit that I even knew any porn stars, former or not. What the hell must his partner/girlfriend/mother think of such an admission.Likewise, if I were Ms. Ashley, I wouldn’t want to tell the world that I knew David Potts.

The guy seems to revel in it; in between tweeting financial “intelligence” he continues to dig himself deeper into the mire. He is a councillor, surely he is bound by certain codes of conduct; perhaps Curly can enlighten us. If he was an ordinary Joe, his tweetings would not matter. Public sector employees/teachers, whom he constantly criticises would surely have faced very serious employment threatening consequences, if they had behaved similarly.

Councillor, the issue here is less about your so called libertine attitudes towards sexual activity, but more about honesty and integrity. You make a public statement via the Gazette about asking a personal friend to send an email, and as Curly’s emails clearly demonstrate the lady in question appears to be anything but a personal friend. She hardly knows you at all and cannot even think of the name that you use on Twiiter.

Councillor Potts, were I a member of UKIP I would advise you to mount your bike and go speeding back to the Tories. I have nothing to say about this Bunga Bunga business. That is your own affair, but the prurient and pathetic comments I read here are hardly poltical in any sense of the word.I would advise you to get a (Councillor’s) life! Look to your constituents.
