HMRC civil servant resigns
Tyne Tees News claim
Whilst today’s Evening Chronicle claims that the civil servant at Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs office in Washington could be facing dismissal, Tyne Tees Television News is claiming that the bungling civil servant has already resigned. Their reporter Julia Barthram also states that rumours inside the office claim that supervisors and managers were “unavailable” on the day that the clerk took the fateful decision to place the discs in the internal post!
Nick Robinson’s insightful news blog suggests that the government may no longer have the fight in them to press ahead with the ID card scheme, somehow I think they are still daft enough!
Well this has definitely decided me to make sure that me and mine opt out of the NHS computerised records system.
