T.W.A.T. was a mistake

David Miliband MPMiliband regrets following his leader?

South Shields MP and Foreign Secretary David Miliband now says that TWAT (The War Against Terror) was a mistake and that he regrets that we ever got into it all, and that it put too much emphasis on military force.

What has brought about the sudden change of heart then David?

Was it the thought of a growing Muslim rebellion at home and in the constituency, or was it your conscience deciding that it’s OK to speak out now? Let’s face it your dear leader and political mentor and guide Tony Blair has gone now, off to the middle east where he can lounge around the King David Hotel and watch the world burn from there. After all this great man of peace helped get us all into the mess in the first place when he slavishly gripped on to “Dubya” Bush’s coat tails, ah yes, of course it’s safe to talk now, Bush will be out of the White House in a few days time.

As Iain Dale has already pointed out this morning, it’s a bit cowardly and niggardly to be protesting about the TWAT now, or has the agenda changed since Barak Obama decided that it’s no longer necessary to kill or capture the worlds most wanted terrorist leader Osama bin Laden?

  1. military might seems to be working against the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka as that country takes back swaths of the country the suicide bombing Tigers once controlled…it ain’t pretty or easy but negotiating with terrorists is win/win for them, loss/loss for everyone else; history proves military pressure is THE precise solution to at least containing terrorists
