Old news is better than no news!

Adrian Pearson over at the Journal appears to be reaching that Christmas hiatus and winding down gently with a recycled “cheeky story” about South Tyneside Conservative councillor David Potts, without mentioning the Conservative Candidate for Jarrow councillor Jeff Milburn. It’s old news but better than no news at all in a newsman’s blog, even clllr. Khan was on to it the next morning!

Big question is, who pointed Pearson to the picture and supplied details of the story? I somehow cannot imagine that he routinely follows the Tweets of David Potts, Ahmed Khan or all the other councillors on his north-east patch, but I could be wrong. However as Christmas approaches and political stories begin to run dry I guess  he just needs something to fill his time, and it gives me a good excuse to redistribute a picture of the Cheeky Girls.

The Cheeky Girls

Don’t they all look pretty?

  1. David looks especially ‘pretty’, particularly now that someone’s bizarrely photoshopped his eyes!

Whoever did that has done more than just delete red-eye – they’ve actually tried to give him Angelina Jolie peepers.

    Bizarro…

  3. Perhaps if we paid the Cheeky Girls to attend some council meetings then Cllr Potts’ attendance record would improve somewhat.
